How to change the look of your WordPress site

Once you have WordPress installed, you will likely want a look that defines your website more than the default theme. There are many amazing WordPress themes available for download. You can visit WordPress Themes for Free or WordPress Theme Base for wonderful, free WordPress themes. We will be using a theme from WordPress Themes for Free for this tutorial.

Choose a theme that you like and download it. You can see a live demo of the theme before you download it. Save it to place that you can remember.

Login to your WordPress site and click on the drop down arrow next to “Appearance”, then click “Add New Themes”.

Click the “Upload” button**. Click “Browse”, select your theme and click “Install Now”.

If you want to preview your theme before you actually change the look of your site, click “Preview”. Otherwise, click “Activate”.

Congratulations! You can now visit your spiffy website.

**When you first click on the “Add New Themes” button, it will give you a page that looks like this:

At this page, you can easily search for themes using keywords or specific search parameters. You can then install the theme of your choice straight from your WordPress control panel.
