How to Create a New Post in WordPress
In WordPress, posts are articles that are sorted by the date of writing or publishing. People may also be able to leave comments on your posts. Because posts are ordered by date, as new posts come, older posts are forced back. Posts are not static. They are also not added to the main menu (navigation) of your website.
1) Login into your WordPress dashboard. Under “Posts”, click Add New.
2) Type in the name of your post and then type your post content.
You can also add text from Word. Click the “Paste from Word” button.
If you want to add an image, click the “Add an Image” button.
The following three buttons next to the “Add an Image” button are “Add Video”, “Add Audio” and “Add Media” (media being anything, whether images, video, audio or documents).
3) Click “Preview” to see your post without making it live on your site, or go ahead and “Publish” and you’re done.
If you want the post to show up at a later date, click “Edit” next to Publish immediately and type in the date when you want the post to show. On that date, your post will automatically publish itself. When you’re done, click “Ok” and “Schedule”.
Click “View Post” to see your post. You will not be able to see your post live if you scheduled it. Rather, you will be able to preview it.
